Greater Conversion Rates - 3 Methods You Can Steal

By Milagros Dotson

If you want to increase the conversion rate of your website, it can be a long process usually involving many different elements that you need to focus on. If you want more impressive conversions, then you may want to continue reading to find out the best place to start.

One of the most important things you can do in your copy for better conversion rates is offer proof to back-up your claims. It's natural in regular life, too, because how many times have you ever heard someone say, "Prove it."? It's nothing new at all that the internet makes it very easy for people to dupe others. The ideal situation is to have a list and develop a relationship with people; but other than that just present your facts and supporting material - and then cruise on and don't worry about it. So you do what you can to offer supporting data, but do make sure you put as much effort as possible into your website so it inspires confidence. Solid evidence that is presented in a way that doesn't violate your own financial or business privacy is your challenge. You can do this in a lot of ways such as using videos. There are other approaches as well such as using scans to jpg, screenshot captures, etc. If you engage in endorsements from industry professonals and experts, be sure to include the disclaimer that it is a (paid or non-compensated) endorsement. If you can achieve irrefutable proof that is overwhelming and believable, then your converions will increase.

Don't over-engineer the navigation on your website. An overly designed nav layout can have an unintended effect because it is well-known that too many choices and options can lead to confusion and lack of focus. You cannot confuse your visitors at all with your site, and that also applies, especially, to site navigation structure and layout. Again, Google your niche and check-out the highest ranking websites; chances are they have their nav structure ducks in a neat row. The necessary administrative type links (privacy, contact, TOS, etc) are commonly placed in the footer area. Otherwise, you can get a good idea for other link locations by looking at high ranking sites because they usually optimize everything.

Try your best to arrange for a good copywriter to go over your site copy. Feedback from an experienced copywriter is better than nothing if you don't have the funds to hire a freelancer. By doing this, you'll realize that improving your conversion rate greatly depends on tweaking your copy where ever needed.

In conclusion, there are many different ways to improve your site's conversion rates, but eventually what really matters is how much effort you're actually putting into boosting your numbers.
